Hair is in big trouble: Inzamam

London: Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said Australian umpire Darrell Hair was in ``big trouble'' for accusing his team of ball-tampering in the forfeited Oval Test and for his conduct in the subsequent events.

``Darrell is in big trouble, I don't know why he is doing these things,'' Inzamam told Sky Sports, referring to the controversial match and the e-mails Hair sent to the ICC a few days later.

``I was quite happy to play the game after half-an-hour — and then the next day — because we had launched our protest. I don't know why he was not interested in playing,'' Inzamam said.

PCB's request

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board has written to the ICC demanding an inquiry into Hair's conduct in the Test before Inzamam's disciplinary hearing next month into charges of ball tampering and bringing the game into disrepute. — UNI
