Change in rules sought

HYDERABAD:
The Greater Hyderabad Builders Federation has urged the State Government to modify certain clauses in G.O. Ms. 86 and G.O. Ms. 171, which affected construction work in the city and suburbs.
In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the Federation, which was formed with representation from builders' associations from different parts of the city and outskirts, described some clauses in these Government Orders as impracticable, that could end up escalating the per-square-feet market price. The issues of mortgage clause, change of Floor Space Index (FSI) in respect of building up to 15 metres height and insistence on occupancy certificate were raised in the memorandum.
