NEW DELHI: Targeting 30 per cent growth in the current fiscal, Faber India, a joint venture of Faber SpA of Italy and Heatkraft of Pune, plans to sell 1.5 lakh chimneys this year by rolling out 15 hi-tech, state-of-the-art, noiseless, all glass and stainless steel kitchen hoods (chimneys) with electronic touch control for high-end market and 15 models of hobs for the mass market. Pointing to the company's growth from zero to 2.50 lakh units amounting to a market value of about Rs. 500 crore, Faber India Managing Director, Prahlad Bhutada, briefed media persons here on Thursday about the future plans and the highlight of the latest `collection series'. The new series is the all glass models of kitchen hood loaded with hi-tech features such as low noise, high performance, filter cleaning indicator and automatic sensor control which adjusts the suction capacity according to the smoke and cooking requirements in the kitchen with negligible power consumption, he added. Blended with international design and technology, Faber's collection series' of kitchen hoods and hobs will offer a cafeteria choice to the Indian women in the middle, upper-middle and the elite class. Gas hobs are priced at Rs. 6,990-19,990 and chimneys at Rs. 30,000-80,000. The company is making a foray into the super-premium segment with the launch of three models of `Built-in ovens' in the price bracket of Rs. 20,000-30,000.
