Suresh Kumar passes away

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Noted track and field official and former State athlete, K.C. Suresh Kumar, died here in the wee hours of Thursday following a massive heart attack. He was 49. Suresh is survived by his wife and two children.

Employed with the Department of Post, Suresh had represented the State school, junior and senior teams during a career spanning well over a decade before turning to officiating. Having held the post of joint secretary of the TDAA for four years, he was serving as a member of the executive committee of the Kerala Athletics Association at the time of his death.
