Prince memorial Trophy State-level inter-collegiate football tournament at Arulanadar College, Karumathur near here on Thursday. Other results: Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchi bt Alagappa University College of Physical Education, Karaikudi 3-0; St. Joseph's College, Tiruchi bt Sethu Institute of Technology, Kariapatti 3-1 (via tie-breaker).
Double for Senthil
M. Senthil of Pot Black Centre, who had already won the billiards title, won the snooker title also with an all-win record in the super-league in the Madurai District billiards and snooker ranking tournament at the Union Club Billiards Hall on Wednesday. Khaja of Billiards Kingdom finished runner-up with two wins and R. Sundar of Pot Black Centre finished third with a solitary win. The results: Super league: M. Kannan wins u-19 title
S.A. Kannan of Muthiah Alagappa school won the boys u-19 title in the Devakottai Educational District Hight, Higher and Matriculation schools chess tournament, organised by Maharishi Vidya Mandir and Sivagangai District Chess Association, at Karaikudi recently.
