Jeev tied 21st
Ito (Japan): After a not-so-successful stint at the US PGA Tour, Jeev Milkha Singh failed to sparkle at his happy hunting ground the Japan Golf Tour and thanks to a late recovery, carded a modest one-under 70 opening round for a tied 21st position at the 150 million yen Fujisankei Classic 2006 golf here on Thursday.
Chowrasia begins well
At Johor Bahru, Malaysia, powered by an eagle on the par five 11th hole, SSP Chowrasia carded a superb five-under 67 opening round for an impressive tied 12th position at the $300,000 Pulai Springs Malaysian Masters on Thursday.
Giving Chowrasia company was, among others, fellow Indian Gurbaaz Mann who fired six birdies as against a sole bogey on the 12th hole to return an identical card. UNI
