P.V. Sami Award to be presented today

KOZHIKODE: Union Minister for Surface Transport K.H. Muniappa will present the P.V. Sami Award instituted in memory of the businessman, freedom fighter and founder of the KTC group of companies to NRI businessman and chairman of Lakeshore Hospital M.A. Yusuf Ali.

The award will be presented at a function to be held at Tagore Centenary Hall on Friday..

This was announced by P.V. Chandran and director Sathyan Anthikad on behalf of the P.V. Sami Memorial Trust.

The recipient of the P.V. Sami Award last year was Capt. C.P. Krishnan Nair.

Industries Minister Elamaram Karim will inaugurate a seminar on `Leftists' response to economic policies of the United Progressive Alliance Government.'
