KOLLAM: A 67-year-old man was fatally run over by a private bus inside the Kollam Municipal Bus Stand at Chinnakada on Thursday morning. He was identified as Kollam Bhaskaran. He was an actor and a retired employee of the Government Guest House here. Bhaskaran had acted in five films directed by Balachandra Menon. Late former President K.R. Narayanan had given a certificate of merit to Bhaskaran for cooking some of the traditional meals, especially tapioca and fish curry. Whenever at Kollam, Narayanan used to specially call for meals cooked by Bhaskaran.
