Camp to check milk quality

Staff Reporter

KOZHIKODE: The Dairy Development Department has opened a free camp to check the quality of milk with a view to provide the commodity without adulteration, to consumers, during the Onam season.

The Deputy Director, Dairy Development Department, Kozhikode said the department has installed the free quality check facility at the Government Model Higher Secondary School. It started functioning on August 29 and will be open until September 2, during the festive season when milk is consumed in large quantities.

The timings of the camp are from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Milk can be tested for fat content, preservatives used, or any other substance added that could be harmful. The public have been requested to bring the packaged milk, with the cover in tact.
