Rs.63.31-crore budget for SN Trust

Focus on educational institutions, construction of new buildings for Trust

ALAPPUZHA: The budget of the SN Trust for the year 2006-07, passed by the annual general body of the Trust held at Cherthala on Wednesday, expects an income of Rs.63.31 crore and an expenditure of Rs.63.29 crore.

The budget has earmarked Rs.11.05 crore for the starting new educational institutions. The budget has also earmarked Rs.10 crore for building new shopping complexes.

The budget has allocated Rs.6.94 crore for the construction and renovation of buildings of various institutions under the Trust.

The budget has provisions for purchasing new vehicles for the trust.

An amount of Rs.50 lakh was earmarked for the purpose. The budget has also provided Rs.20 lakh for the completion of a cultural centre in Kollam. Trust president P.N. Natarajan presided. General secretary Vellappally Natesan presented the budget.
