CHANDIGARH: With the successful running of the Citizen Facilitation Centre of the Engineering Department of the Chandigarh Administration, set up to enable the residents to lodge their complaints on a single number (4639999) round the clock throughout the year, the Administration has decided to do away with all its 35 Complaint Centres spread across the City Beautiful. An official spokesman said here on Thursday that complaint redress had become faster now as the field staff of the Complaint Centres in respective areas had been provided with mobile phones exclusively for receiving and responding to the calls of the Facilitation Centre, which was set up on May 1. A total of 7,040 complaints have been received and redressed so far and an average of 200 calls were being received per day, he added.
