KADAPA: Telugu Desam Party leaders on Thursday demanded that Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Congress MLA Challa Ramakrishna Reddy apologise to people for `belittling' some castes. The MLA's assertion that his caste was supreme and its word was binding reflected the Congress Government's stand, TDP leaders said in a statement here. The Chief Minister was all smiles when the MLA made his claims and it showed his attitude towards other castes, party town president B. Hariprasad and others alleged. They claimed that Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy's comment had not only pained BCs, SCs, STs and minorities, but also embarrassed the caste in whose support he spoke.
