Congress satisfied with performance in House
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD:
Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy as well as the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) said here on Thursday that they were satisfied with the performance of the ruling party in the monsoon session.
Before leaving on a two-day visit to New Delhi after the conclusion of the session, Dr. Reddy said the Government could effectively ward off allegations of malpractices in the ORR. It could demolish the Opposition attack that the Government failed in rendering timely assistance to the recent flood victims.
"The session has been a reflection of our sincerity and integrity as we could come out clean on every issue," he said.
Minister for Agriculture N. Raghuveera Reddy and Government Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, however, blamed the Opposition for disrupting the business of the House. The 11 working days saw the question hour becoming causality and TDP and TRS members forced suspension of business for four and a half days, they said.
