Speaker adjourns Assembly sine die

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The 11-day monsoon session of the Assembly concluded on Thursday with Speaker K. R. Suresh Reddy adjourning the House sine die.

During the session, the House could not conduct any business for four days as the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) stalled proceedings for three days and the TDP on the opening day. TRS members were, however, suspended for four consecutive days. The Speaker said proceedings had been conducted for 49 hours during which 80 starred and 55 unstarred questions were answered. The session saw the passage of 15 Bills and there were three short discussions. There were 65 adjournment motions moved in all by different parties.
