G.O. 610 will be implemented: YSR

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy said in the Assembly on Thursday that his Government was committed to implementing G.O. No. 610 in true spirit.

The G.O. relates to rectification of violations in appointment of local candidates in public employment in accordance with six-point formula.

In a statement tabled on his behalf in the Assembly, it was pointed out that the Chief Minister had held a high-level meeting on August 7 and appointed an officers' committee to study the recommendations of the Group of Ministers. (It was asked to study the report submitted by J.M. Girglani on the formula).

He said after discussing the report of the committee, submitted on August 10, it was decided to implement the G.O. in accordance with the Presidential Order of 1975 and recommendations/ suggestions in the Girglani report.
