Medak: A fifth class student Erukala Lakshmi, who was forced to marry 21-year-old Mallesh, was saved by the police from joining her husband on Tuesday. The girl, allegedly tied up, was being sent in a tractor-trailer to her in-laws' house when a good Samaritan informed the police. Lakshmi of Kukunoor village in Yeldurty mandal was married to Mallesh of Masaipet village six months ago against her wishes. Her parents -- Laxmayya and Narsamma-- who rear pigs and sheep, had another girl child and wanted to get their elder daughter married. Unable to bear Mallesh's sexual advances, the minor girl had run away from her husband's house and reached her parents' home. Ever since she had been living with her parents in Kukunoor and attending school. Sub- Inspector Jagadeeshwar said that cases had been registered against her in-laws and husband.
