KARIMNAGAR: CPI floor leader in the Assembly Chada Venkat Reddy has called upon the youth to unite and fight against the State Government's anti-student and anti-youth policies by launching agitations. Participating as chief guest at the AIYF district level general body meeting here on Wednesday evening, Mr Venkat Reddy alleged that the Congress Government was also following the footsteps of the erstwhile TDP government by adopting World Bank policies and suppressing the rights of unemployed youth. He flayed the State Government for not fulfilling its election promise of filling up of all vacant posts and regularisation of all contract labourers.
Vacancies
AIYF state president M Bal Narasimha demanded the State Government to fill up the 2.7 lakh vacant posts in the State. He urged upon Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhar Reddy to launch his pet `baata' programme to wipe out unemployment in the State on the lines of `Rajiv nagara baata', `palle baata' programmes. CPI district secretary Marri Venkat Swamy called upon the youth to launch a crusade against the corruption, which was rampant in all Government offices. He urged the administration to take measures to ensure that the PMRY and Rajiv Yuvashakthi programmes were sanctioned to the real beneficiaries instead of only Congress recommended candidates.
