Four held for `stealing' anglers
The Pahadisharif police on Thursday arrested four persons on the charge of stealing steel anglers used for fencing the proposed international airport at Shamshabad on the city outskirts. Among the arrested was Alluraiah who earlier worked as a security guard at the airport construction site.
The airport authorities initially fenced the open land using steel anglers and removed them while constructing a compound wall.
Hundreds of such anglers abandoned as scrap at Mamidipally village in Pahadisharif were taken away by Alluraiah and his accomplices Sudhakar, D. Tarun and M. Krishna a week ago in a DCM van. All the four were remanded to judicial custody.

The Punjagutta police on Thursday arrested four youngsters and recovered nine motorcycles allegedly stolen by them from different places in the city.
The arrested youths were Mohd. Samiullah, R. Rajender, K. Sagar and T. Srinivas.
