Housing colony for displaced slum dwellers ready

Hyderabad:
Hyderabad Collector R.V. Chandravadhan on Wednesday said the new housing colony built at Kukatpally for displaced slum dwellers abutting Hussainsagar nala was ready for inauguration.
In a press release, the Collector said Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy would inaugurate the colony soon. Over 1,013 houses were constructed under Valmiki Ambedkar Awas Yojana at Yellamabanda in Kukatpally and MCH was providing civic amenities at a cost of Rs. 3.5 crores, he said after visiting the colony. He said the district administration was also planning to construct a community hall, school, shopping complex, anganwadi centre and urban health post in the colony.
