Traffic curbs in the city today

Thiruvananthapuram: Traffic regulations have been imposed in the city on Friday evening in connection with the procession carrying Ganesa idols to Sanghumugham.

Vehicles from East Fort to the NH and MC roads will be diverted through Attakulangara, Killipalam, Flyover, Thycaud, Xanadu, Vazhuthacaud and Keltron while those bound for Karamana and Neyyatinkara will be routed through Attakulangara and Killipalam.

Traffic from East Fort to Pettah and Medical College will take the Vettimurichukotta-Vazhapalli-West Fort-Punnapuram-Uppidamoodu- Vanchiyoor route. Vehicles from Thampanoor to the NH and MC roads will go via the flyover, Thycaud, Xanadu, Vazhuthacaud and Keltron.

During the time of the procession, vehicles from Kesavadasapuram to PMG will be directed through Pattom, Marappalam and Kowdiar while those from Peroorkada and Sasthamangalam will be diverted through Vellayambalam and Vazhuthacaud. After the procession passes the Chackai bypass, traffic on the Sanghumugham-Veli-Thumba route will be allowed through Vettimurichukotta, Vazhapalli, West Fort, Eenchakkal, Ponnara bridge and Valiathura.
