Protection order for dog

NEW YORK: Bebe, a 5-year-old bichon frise, a fluffy little white dog, has been given an order of protection by a court after a man was accused of beating it. Fredrick Fontanez, 20, was arraigned on Thursday on a misdemeanour count of animal abuse. The judge told him to steer clear of Bebe, and its owner. — AP
