THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The general body meeting of the Global Kerala Initiative-Keraleeyam has decided to institute an endowment in memory of the late V.K. Madhavankutty, journalist. Awards will be given annually to journalists working in the print and electronic media. A press note here by Keraleeyam said Union Minister for Health Anbumani Ramadoss would distribute an annual aid of Rs. 7 lakh for 51 HIV-infected children at a function in Kochi on Monday. Kerala Minister for Health P.K. Sreemathy would participate.
