Justice Srikrishna to head Sixth Pay Commission

New Delhi: Justice B.N. Srikrishna, former Judge of the Supreme Court, is to head the Sixth Pay Commission for Central Government employees.

The notification appointing him as Chairman is expected in a day or two.

The United Progressive Alliance Government is also expected to announce the names of four other members of the Commission with the approval of the Prime Minister, and the terms of reference.

The Commission is expected to file its report by the end of 2007.
