Sportstar Open from today
Chennai:
The Madras Gymkhana Club will conduct the Sportstar Open golf tournament at the Guindy links on September 2 and 3. The greens have been spruced up for the event.
The tournament, that is open to amateurs, will have nearly 100 competitors, including around 25 single handicappers.
K. Kumaran (open category) and R. Sanjay (handicap) will be defending their titles. L. Selvadurai and C.V. Yudvir are among the other leading contenders.
Apart from the regular awards, there will be daily prizes for the longest drive, closest to pin and team performances.
