KOCHI: Arun Paulose and Abdul Samad cracked centuries as Idukki made 356 against Palakkad on the opening day of the Central Zone under-22 inter-district cricket championship at St. Paul's College, Kalamassery, on Friday. In another match, at the Kochi Refinery Oval, host Ernakulam, thriving on Robert Fernandes and Harikumar's big knocks, made 329. Thrissur's Vinod Kumar grabbed five wickets. The scores: Ernakulam 329 in 83 overs (Robert Fernandes 87, Harikumar 74, Vinod Kumar five for 56) vs Thrissur at BPCL-KR Oval, Ambalamugal.
