BHOPAL: There is jubilation in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party circles here as Madhya Pradesh has been declared the "fastest moving State" with maximum growth rate at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi. President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam gave away the award for the "fastest moving State" in the areas of agriculture, infrastructure and overall development to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Friday. On the basis of a study conducted by the India Today group, the State has also been adjudged second in the "good governance" category, third in "law and order" and fifth in terms of "physical potential." Talking to The Hindu , Mr. Chauhan said: "The recognition would encourage us to rapidly move on the path of development."
