Saying it with flowers in Meghalaya

Shillong: On September 5, students in Shillong and its adjoining areas will get a chance to present their teachers with a cut rose — thanks to the Meghalaya Horticulture Directorate.

To celebrate Teachers' Day and to popularise the use of cut flowers in the State, the Ri-bhoi district horticulture office will make them available on Monday and Tuesday at prominent locations in the city.

A similar arrangement to sell strawberry bunches was made on Valentine's Day in the past couple of years. — PTI
