Rajahmundry: Minister for Roads and Buildings Jakkampudi Ram Mohan Rao as announced that the Government had released Ra. 70 crores towards crop insurance and crop loss. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said they had sent the proposal to reschedule crop or waive of crop loans in the district. The Minister said the district administration was going to organise mega medical camp on September 8 at Mummidivaram in which Ministers Panabaka Lakshmi, Renuka Chowdary and Pallamraju will participate. He said that the camp was aimed at people of Ienavelli, Mummidivaram, P Gannavaram, Mamidikudhru, Devipatnam, and Vuppalaguptam in the Konaseema area which was badly affected in the recent floods. The Minister declared that they would take up children's health camps in Rajahmundry, Kakinada and Amlapuram before September 24.
YSR's tour
According to the Minister, the Chief Minister would visit Rajahmundry on September 11 to participate in various programmes. He would inaugurate the Surampallem project and proceed to Rajahmundry to participate in a spiritual programme arranged in ISKCON temple. He would address the Chamber of Commerce. He would also address the newly-elected ZPTCs, MPTCs and sarpanches in Arts College and participate in another programme at Annam Kala Kendram. In the evening, he would lay the foundation for the Bommuru pipeline project.
