Pay panel constitution hailed

VISAKHAPATNAM: National Federation of Indian Railwaymen general secretary M. Raghaviah on Saturday hailed the constitution of the VI Central Pay Commission and thanked all the federations for their efforts at the apex level in the matter.

He was speaking at a meeting organised by the East Coast Railway Shramik Union to felicitate him. All India Railwaymen's Federation assistant general secretary Ch. Gandhi presided and East Coast Railway Shramik Union additional general secretary D. Shaleel welcomed the gathering.

Mr. Raghaviah said according to the calculations of the pay structure as announced in the V Central Pay Commission and per capita net approved product, Rs.2,173 was to be paid as interim relief. Divisional Railway Manager Indra Ghosh said he would allow the employees and their leaders to meet him directly for redress of their grievances/problems on every Monday.

ECoR Shramik Congress president K.S. Murthy, general secretary B.R. Mohanty and deputy divisional coordinator S. Chellarayudu spoke.
