Microsoft Corporate Challenge begins

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: Microsoft Corporate Challenge, an inter-corporate team-building competition, started here on Friday. More than 30 corporate teams are participating in the two-day event, which has been conceptualised and managed by DNA Networks and Sports Media Limited.

The event is based on an international format, having competitions meant for the mind, body and soul, according to the organisers.

The participants are expected to execute complex tasks in an outside environment. The event highlights winning strategies executed in a time frame with utmost coordination among the team members. Teams from IT, banking, advertising, financial services, telecom, media, FMCG and manufacturing industries from across the country are participating.

Constitution of teams

It is being held on the premises of FACT. Each team consists of seven members. Each team has to have two women and a member of the senior management of the organisation, according to T. Venkat Vardhan, managing director of DNA Networks.

The first edition of Microsoft Corporate Challenge was held in Goa last year. ICICI Bank had emerged winners, while JM Morgan Stanley stood second.
