Thiruvananthapuram: Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday said the lack of coordination between police investigators and Government lawyers resulted in several criminal cases culminating in the acquittal of the accused.

Only efficient and incorruptible prosecutors could ensure the conviction of those who broke the law, Mr. Balakrishnan said, during the distribution of certificates to computer-trained policemen here. — Staff Reporter

Illumination inaugurated

Thiruvananthapuram : The illumination of various buildings in the city, organised as part of the Onam celebrations of Kerala Tourism, was inaugurated by Minister for Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday. Infant adopted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Council for Child Welfare has adopted an infant found abandoned near Pathaamkal road in Neyyattinkara from SAT Hospital authorities. The infant was brought to the hospital by the police and social activists. — Staff Reporter
