HYDERABAD: Leader of the Opposition and senior BJP leader L. K. Advani on Sunday said the Congress stand on constituting the Second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC) would open a "Pandora's box" in the country. "Given the multitude of political parties and their differing views, constitution of another SRC will open a Pandora's box. I have personally known some districts which are demanding that they be made separate States," he said. In an informal chat with presspersons after speaking at the valedictory of the Indian Travel Congress, he alleged that the Congress had betrayed the people of Telangana. "It got the mandate supporting separate statehood. Now it has gone back on its promise and there is no explanation offered to Parliament or to the people as to why it did so."
