Letters to the Editor
The monsoon session of Parliament was a huge disappointment. Except perhaps the discussion on the India-U.S. nuclear deal, none of the people's concerns was meaningfully addressed. Besides the ugly scene involving the MPs of the JD (U) and the RJD, incidents of slogan shouting and rushing to the well of the House were frequent. The Pathak report and the mole controversy do not concern the common man. If the credibility of this extremely important democratic institution has to be sustained, we need more informed debates and resolutions.
