Chief Minister to launch works in Holenarsipur today

  • Foundation stones will be laid for road works
  • Industrial Training Centre in Paduvalahippe village will be inaugurated
  • Bicycles will be distributed to students from BPL families

    HASSAN: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who launched various development works in Arkalgud taluk on Saturday, will again visit Holenarsipur taluk on Monday to lay foundation stones for works planned by the departments of Public Works, Energy, Irrigation and Education departments, according to a release by the district administration.

    Minister for Water Resources, K.S. Eshwarappa; Minister for Public Works and Energy, H.D. Revanna; Minister for Primary and Secondary Education,

    Basavaraja Horatti; Minister for Agriculture, Bandeppa Kashempur, Minister for Social Welfare, Balachandra Jarkiholi; Minister for Labour, Iqbal Ansari; and Minister for Women and Child Welfare, H.K. Kumaraswamy, will accompany Chief Minister to Holenarsipur.

    Hassan MP and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda would also participate in the function, sources said.

    The Chief Minister will lay foundation stones for various development works including construction of road between Shanivarasanthe-Arkalgud-Holenarsipur on State Highway-8, widening and strengthening of road between Holenarsipur-Channarayapatna, construction of cover-deck for Sriramadevaru canal, construction of steps to Hemavathi river in Holenarsipur town, construction of new building for the Government High

    School in Tattekerebore village, construction of 66/11 kV power Sub-station in Malali, Gangoor of Halekotehobli, construction of concrete road and providing permanent drinking water system, construction of First Grade Women College, expansion of guest house, construction of taluk stadium in

    Holenarsipur town, works taken up for providing drinking water facility in

    Hangarahalli, Nyamanahalli, Basavanayakanahalli, Hanumanahalli, Haralahalli, villages, construction of high school buildings in Alagodanahalli, Attichoudenahalli, Kodihalli, Tattekerebore, Aanekannambadi, Honnenahalli, Baagevalu and construction of building for Government Pre-University Colleges in Chakenahalli, Hariharapura, Mudalahippe, Devaramuddenahalli, Somanahalli, Jodigubbi and Malali villages.

    He will inaugurate newly-constructed 220/66 kV Power Receiving Station in Kaduvankote village of Holenarispur taluk.

    The Industrial Training Centre in Paduvalahippe village will be inaugurated. He will also distribute bicycles to students from BPL (below poverty line) families and yellow cards to beneficiaries, sources said.
