TRS stand on statehood flayed

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Jana Parishad has criticised the Telangana Rashtra Samiti's (TRS) stand that people should wait till the next elections for a separate State.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, parishad leaders — Keshav Rao Jadav, S. Venkat Swamy, V. Kanaka Raju and P. Vittal Rao — ridiculed the stand, saying it was `totally lacking in common sense."

The leaders wondered where was the guarantee that the NDA or UPA would not form Governments on their own even if TRS won a majority, thus making the party's support irrelevant.
