Official told to withdraw case against religious body
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
Minister for Information and Public Relations Mohd. Ali Shabbir on Sunday asked the Ranga Reddy District Joint Collector Sheshadri to immediately withdraw the "illegal case" filed against Kanzal-ul-uloom Religious and Educational Trust by Saroornagar MRO since the `institution has all the legal documents of its land with due approval of HUDA authorities'. The Minister informed that though `Firangi Nala' was not passing through their land, the institution authorities gave consent to part away with their land adjoining the nala provided alternative land was allotted to them.
He expressed his displeasure over booking a police case against religious heads of a reputed institution without verifying true facts and their credentials, according to a statement issued here on Sunday.
Report sought
The Joint Collector informed Mr. Shabbir that the Human Rights Commission has asked the District Administration to submit Action Taken Report in case of encroachment of land falling under `Firangi Nala' from Chevella to Ibrahimpatnam. He informed that as per the re-survey made by the local Revenue authorities, the land in question does not come under encroachment and assured an amicable solution, the statement added.
