HYDERABAD: City Police Commissioner A.K. Mohanty on Sunday imposed restrictions on plying of RTC buses for immersion of Ganesh idols. Buses coming from Rajiv Rahadari and Nagpur National Highway (NH) towards Hyderabad after passing Jubilee bus station (JBS) will ply via YMCA, Sangeet theatre, Rail Nilayam, Mettuguda, Tarnaka, Uppal, Ramanthapur, Amberpet, Road No. 6, Kachiguda traffic police station (TPS), Rangmahal crossroads and reach Mahatma Gandhi bus station (MGBS). Buses coming from Bangalore NH will ply via Aramghar crossroads, Chandrayangutta crossroads, I.S. Sadan, Nalgonda crossroads, Chaderghat, Rangmahal crossroads to reach MGBS. Buses coming from Vijayawada NH will take diversion at Moosarambagh and reach MGBS via Amberpet, Kachiguda TPS and Rangmahal crossroads. Buses coming from Mumbai NH towards MGBS will be diverted at Godrej `Y' junction at Kukatpally, Narsapur crossroads, Bowenpally and JBS via YMCA, Sangeet theatre, Tarnaka, Uppal, Ramanthapur and Kachiguda TPS, Rangmahal crossroads to reach MGBS.
Exit routes for lorries
The Traffic police on Sunday listed out the following exit routes for empty lorries and trucks after immersion of Ganesh idols on Wednesday. Lorries should proceed via Khairatabad flyover, Visweshwaraiah statue, KCP, Hotel Taj Krishna after immersion of idols at NTR Gardens. Vehicles will not be allowed to return towards Telugu Thalli Statute near Secretariat and Mint Compound. On Upper Tank Bund, empty lorries should proceed towards Children's Park near Vivekananda Statute on Tank Bund where vehicles will take a right turn and go towards Kavadiguda and Musheerabad. At KIMS hospital on Minister Road, lorries should proceed towards Rasoolpura and Begumpet.
