BANGALORE: Webster University, Thailand, on Monday announced a new enrolment programme for Indian students to attend Webster's Cha-Am/Hua Hin Bangkok centre campus in Thailand. Director of Admissions at Webster University Stephen R. Beaver told presspersons here on Monday that the new enrolment drive in India was part of the university's overall programme to increase its student strength from 223 to 400 full time students till the end of the Fall Semester 2008. The university now had eight Indian students enrolled and sought to double that number, he said. Mr. Beaver said to achieve this, he would visit educational institutions, international schools, colleges and universities in Bangalore. "I will meet students interested in Webster's academic programmes, both undergraduate and graduate, and promote the academic and student environment at Webster and the advantages of attaining a Webster University degree," he said. As part of this promotion, Mr. Beaver would hold a seminar on September 5 at 4.30 p.m. at Hotel Ballal Residency in the city. Degrees offered at the university would include Bachelor of Arts in International Business, Management, Media Communications, International Relations and Psychology and Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science. Certificate programmes were offered in Buddhist Studies and Thai Language and Culture, he said. Details can be had on www.webster.ac.th or beavers@webster.ac.th.
