KOCHI: Former India coach A.M. Sreedharan is the new coach of Viva Kerala football team. The team, Kerala's lone professional club, also announced its 22-member team, which includes 14 newcomers, here on Monday.

Sreedharan was also the coach of the Kerala team for the Santosh Trophy on four occasions and the Kerala Police team. Sreedharan takes over from T.K. Chathunni, another coach with a long list of achievements.

Viva Kerala won the Kerala League early this year and the team's next camp will begin at FACT Ground, Udyogamandal, on September 7. — Principal Correspondent
