ANANTAPUR: Activists of the CPI gheraoed Minister for Municipal Administration Koneru Ranga Rao here on Monday seeking cancellation of user charges in civic bodies. They were pulled out of the way of the Minister's car when they lay on the ground and prevented Mr. Rao from leaving the venue of regional conference of municipal commissioners. Later, the activists went to the municipal guest house where the Minister was put up and staged a protest outside with demands of improving amenities in towns. They urged the Minister to solve problems like drinking water, sanitation and completion of road overbridge in Ramachandra Nagar.
