Food festival drawing crowds

Thiruvananthapuram: The food festival, organised in connection with Kerala Tourism's Onam celebrations, in Sooryakanthi exhibition grounds is drawing huge crowd.

Apart from "kappa", "fish curry", "karimeen", "tharavu curry", 10 types of payasam, gourmets can savour different types of "kebabs", Mughalai, Punjabi and Andhra dishes.

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies C. Divakaran inaugurated the food festival on Monday.

Chairman of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation Cherian Philip, Principal Secretary, Tourism, E.K. Bharat Bhushan and Managing Director of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation M.N. Gunavardhanan attended.

Leading hotels in the capital, including hotels of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, and those in Kovalam are participating in the festival. The food fest is open for public from 5 p.m. to 11p.m. till September 9.
