APSRTC to operate fewer services

Hyderabad: In view of the Ganesh immersion on Wednesday, the APSRTC Hyderabad city region has decided to curtail all services operating on the Charminar sector at Afzalgunj after 8 a.m. Operation of Veera buses will be withdrawn. All buses of Kukatpally, Jeedimetla and BHEL will be terminated at Khairtabad from 1 p.m.

In a press release, C. Panduranga Murthy, Regional Manager, city region, said 154 special buses will be operated till late night from Basheerbagh, All India Radio, Old MLA Quarters, Indira Park and Lak-di-ka-pul to different parts of the city. Breakdown vehicles would be stationed at Indira Park, Secunderbad station, Rathifile, Lak-di-ka-pul, Khairtabad, Afzalgunj, Koti, Old MLA Quarters, Women's College, Nampally, Himayathnagar - with five mechanical teams. Communication centres will function at Koti terminus with phone number 23443320 and cell number 9848782107 and at Rathifile with phone 23443399.
