CHENNAI:
President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's Special IAF Boeing was searched with sniffer dogs after the police received an anonymous call about a bomb threat.
The call came at about 10.45 p.m. The caller actually said that there was a bomb on "Governor's flight" (the Governor had no travel plans). As a precautionary measure, the President's aircraft was searched and the luggage of the entourage was off-loaded and subjected to detailed check. Security agencies were kept on tenterhooks.
