"Prosperity a distant dream for Bihar"

Muzaffarpur: Against the backdrop of his strained ties with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former Janata Dal (United) chief George Fernandes on Tuesday attacked the State Government led by his party colleague, alleging the dreams of restoration of rule of law and prosperity were "dashed."

"Nothing has changed in Bihar so far under the new Government and peoples' dream of prosperity and rule of law is yet a distant dream. Even after change of guard, kidnappings for ransom are taking place," Mr.Fernandes said here.

Asked why no MLA met him, Mr.Fernandessaid JD (U)'s image had been "tarnished" by activities of certain party MLAs. &
