ANANTAPUR: District Collector Dasari Kadmiel has asked officers to implement welfare and development schemes for different sections of the society sincerely so as to achieve the set targets. He reviewed the implementation of 20-point programme at a meeting with district officials here on Tuesday. The review was not held for the last eight months. The Collector pointed out that implementation of Rajiv Yuvashakti, Indiramma, IKP, pensions and farmers' welfare schemes was lagging behind. In the wake of severe drought conditions prevailing in the district, the officials were expected to put their heart and soul to take the schemes to targeted sections.
Special attention was required in areas like drinking water, fodder, wage works, self-employment of youth and women, schemes for BCs, SCs and STs, power supply, Indiramma and handloom weavers' welfare, he said. The Collector asked the engineering officials to complete works taken up under the Assembly Constituency Development Programme (ACDP) fast.
