KURNOOL: District Collector M. Dana Kishore asked the adult education staff to include elimination of child labour in their project. Addressing a meeting of adult education department officials here on Tuesday, he said the community mobilisers under the DRDA would be asked to extend their support to the Askhara Bharati and strengthen the hands of Mandal Literacy Officers. Mr. Kishore said efforts were on to bring about synergy among all departments to check the issue of child labour, which was serious in Kurnool district. Deputy Director of Adult Education Rajeswari and others spoke. Later, reviewing at a meeting of officials on Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's promises, Mr. Kishore said that out of the 75 promises made by the Chief Minister during his Pallebata programme, 46 were fulfilled and 26 were in various stages of implementation.
