HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has criticised the TDP leaders for trespassing on Kadapa MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy's property located at Madhapur on Monday and asked them to desist from such acts. In a statement on Tuesday, secretaries of the CLP E. Prathap Reddy and K. Surekha and executive member V. Vasanth Kumar said the act only reflected the frustration of the TDP and its ideological bankruptcy. They said the TDP was trying to drag Kadapa Mr. Vivekananda Reddy's name into the mud to cover up its botched up effort to nail the Government in the Outer Ring Road project. Mr. Vivekananda Reddy purchased the 1,700 square yards of land in Madhapur in 2000 and became the agreement holder of the property. He had constructed a temporary structure in which his son-in-law's software company is located and obtained a power connection too. The property had been regularised after payment of Rs. 1300 per sqyd. While all these happened during the TDP regime, it was strange that its leaders were making an issue out of it now. Asking the TDP to desist from using `cheap tactics' to defame Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy or his relatives, the CLP members said the MP had already declared that he would abide by the Government decision in this regard.
