Water supply along the route

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is arranging for supply of drinking water and distribution of water sachets along the Ganesh procession route at various locations on Wednesday. Around nine lakh water sachets will be distributed apart from setting up water camps with drums and disposable glasses along the procession route at different places. The Board is also arranging for water supply to non-supply areas, particularly in the old city, Osmangunj and other areas on Wednesday, according to an HMWSSB release.

Meanwhile, the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Samiti was awarded the first prize of Mahaganapathi Puraskaram-2006, constituted by Zee Telugu television channel for best pandals in the city, here on Tuesday. Khairatabad MLA P. Janardhan Reddy and others were present at the award presentation ceremony on Monday evening. The second prize went to Gopalakrishna Bhajana Mandiram, Pan Bazar, while the third prize was won by Maharajgunj Ganesh Utsav Samithi.
