Concentrate on quality of education: ZP Chairperson

Guntur-I MLA promises all help to teachers and to improve infrastructure in schools

GUNTUR : Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kuchipudi Vijaya on Tuesday congratulated the Government and Zilla Parishad teachers for moulding students into one of the best citizens in the society, in spite of facing several difficulties.

Overlook shortcomings

"That so many people coached by you are in top positions speaks volumes about your capabilities," she said at the 45th Teachers' Welfare Day organised at the Pathibandla Seetharamaiah High School on Tuesday. She asked them to keep training students to become the best in their chosen field of study and become a good citizen first.

District collector G. Jayalakshmi expressed regret over the lack of proper facilities in Government schools, but opined if the teachers tried to overlook this lacuna and ensured their students got the best possible education, it would serve the purpose. Teachers should not concentrate on a few students to get ranks for the school, but make efforts to improve the standards of all students.

She complimented them for discharging their duties even while they were being drafted for special duties during elections and for other Government programmes. Guntur-I MLA Nambur Sheik Subhani promised to provide all possible help to the teachers and to improve infrastructure in the schools.
