Arogyamatha fest today

KADAPA: Velangini Arogyamatha (Our Lady of Health) festival is being celebrated here on September 7 and 8, Fr. Sagili Prakash of Arogyamatha Church said on Wednesday.

Fr. Samson of St. John's Church would conduct `Divyabali' pooja at the church at Masapet on Thursday and later Arogyamatha would be taken in a procession around the town, he said. Kalmrutha Natya Mandali would perform a musical skit on the life of Lord Jesus in the night.

Kadapa Bishop M.D. Prakasam would perform `Divyabali' pooja and Fr. Anthony Raj Ambrose would conduct prayers on September 8.

The programmes would include flag hoisting, sports competitions, presentation of gifts and screening of `Karunamayudu' film at 7 p.m., he said.
